Task: Develop the instructor layer on the "Uchitsya - Legko!" platform
Develop the instructor layer on the "Uchitsya - Legko!" platform
Capture and develop the idea of instructors as a separate layer of the platform alongside independent learning mechanics.
Context of the Idea's Emergence
Initially, the platform was viewed primarily as an environment for independent learning through specially designed mechanics: a person gets the opportunity to master new things with a minimum amount of artificial complexity, relying on what they already know and receiving the necessary information at the moment it is genuinely required.
During positioning discussions, it became clear that independent mechanics should not be the only way of learning within the platform. Even a well-designed environment does not eliminate situations where a person needs a live explanation, gap diagnosis, knowledge systematization, school curriculum assistance, or full-fledged instructor support.
At the same time, there are already two instructor areas we can build upon: mathematics and programming. They can represent two significantly different approaches to learning:
- systemic education β sequential explanation, curriculum, filling in gaps, working within a subject structure;
- non-systemic education β learning through real tasks, decomposition of the final skill, reduction of unnecessary stages, and practical achievement of results.
These are not necessarily competing approaches. They can coexist within the same platform and be applied wherever each of them is most useful.
Basic Idea
The platform gains a second full-fledged layer:
- Independent Learning β interactive mechanics, materials, practical environments, and tools that allow learning without mandatory instructor participation.
- Learning with an Instructor β live help where it is truly needed.
The principle can be expressed as follows:
Learn independently where you can. Get human help where you genuinely need it.
This approach aligns with the overall philosophy of the project: not to impose a heavier process on a person in advance if the task can be solved more simply.
The Instructor is Not Just a Separate External Service
It is important not to turn the platform into a regular tutor catalog.
An instructor within "Uchitsya - Legko!" can be a source of human expertise within a unified educational environment.
The user can:
- work independently with materials and mechanics;
- encounter misunderstandings or gaps;
- turn to an instructor;
- receive an explanation, diagnosis, or systematization;
- return to independent practice with the obstacle already removed.
Thus, a natural cycle arises:
independent work β encountering a difficulty β instructor β explanation β independent practice.
Two Approaches Already Within the Platform
The presence of instructors in mathematics and programming already demonstrates that the platform is not tied to a single pedagogical school.
Systemic Approach
Can be useful for:
- school curriculum;
- sequential mastery of a subject;
- finding and closing gaps;
- preparation for tests and exams;
- situations where a student needs external structure and support.
Non-Systemic Approach
Can be useful for:
- mastering a skill through real tasks;
- quickly achieving practical results;
- learning programming and other applied fields;
- finding a shorter path to the ultimate goal;
- individual decomposition of a complex task.
The coexistence of these approaches can become an independent feature of the platform: the user receives not just one learning ideology, but different ways to achieve results.
Expansion to Other Instructors
The platform's architecture can initially account for the possibility of introducing instructors in other subjects:
- Russian language;
- physics;
- chemistry;
- biology;
- foreign languages;
- computer science;
- other school and extracurricular disciplines.
At the same time, an instructor can be not just a profile in a catalog, but a participant in the overall educational system.
Potential Value for Instructors
In the long term, the platform can be useful to instructors themselves not only as a source of students, but also as a working environment.
Possible roles:
- using ready-made interactive mechanics;
- creating their own materials;
- applying platform materials in classes;
- tracking student progress;
- working with the same entities that the student uses independently;
- creating new subject mechanics and learning scenarios.
This creates a potential cycle of platform development:
educational mechanics are created β instructors apply them in various subjects β real cases and observations emerge β new mechanics are developed based on them.
Significance for Positioning
This development expands the meaning of the "Uchitsya - Legko!" brand.
The platform becomes more than just a service with a separate learning mechanic and more than just an online school. It can combine:
- independent learning;
- programmatic educational mechanics;
- systemic learning;
- non-systemic learning;
- live instructors;
- tools for the instructors themselves.
The overarching unifying idea remains the same: making the path to knowledge and skills simpler by removing unnecessary complexity and engaging the right type of help when it is genuinely needed.
